IMAI is a sushi and kushi spot in Beverly Hills at the corner of San Vicente and Wilshire in a strip mall that does a mean business in manicures, pedicures and Coffee Bean & Teal Leaf guzzling. It's been there quietly for years and isn't cheap for dinner, but that doesn't concern me because I only eat there for lunch.

They have a wait staff that moves to their own rhythm which doesn't entail rushing to refill your iced tea or asking how your meal is generally. So I sit at the sushi bar where the sushi and kushi chefs are pleasant and efficient.

I look forward to the seemingly random presentation of a rectangular plate that is placed in front of me when I order my sushi. It contains an unfathomable amount of pickled ginger slices and a mass of wasabi that can only be described as um, massive. It bears no relation to my order which will be accompanied in the …

Ivy Eats Everything

Yes, it's true, I'm an omnivore. I love food. I love all food. I love to prepare food and eat food and order food and smell food and talk about food and watch food-related TV shows and if a movie is in any way related to food, I will buy a ticket.

Here is my inagural blog where I'll share my passion with you.

Now I must run down to the deli in my building and get a snack before I begin.
